How to solve .htaccess or mod_rewrite on 000webhot

6 posts in this topic

Hello everyone, how are you?

for those who faced a problems like:

- Admincp showing  as directory .

- or CSS pages does not working.

after installed any vbulletin 5.x.x version on 000webhost i found the solution, you can just edit on .htaccess file as you see here:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^css.php$ core/css.php [NC,L]

# Main Redirect
	RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !\.(gif|jpg|jpeg|png|css)$
	RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
	RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
	RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?routestring=$1 [L,QSA]

just copy and paste then save.

if you have .htaccsess before just delete it and create new one

make sure .htaccess file permissions are 644.

and that's it, goodbye!! see you.

Its pointless tho to host vbulletin on free host such as 000webhost, its not worth the time since you gonna get suspended as soon as they detect vbulletin....

000webhost's servers can't even hold the ram space needed in order to run forums such as vBulletin & iPB
